If someone had told me 20 years ago that I’d be helping thousands of students speak English with confidence, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.
This is how teaching Chinese students became my passion.
How Teaching English
Became My Focus
Teaching English wasn’t something I planned from the beginning.
One day in 2007, I received an opportunity to change careers and travel to the other side of the world and teach English in China for 1 year. That year changed my life forever.
At first, like many teachers, I focused on vocabulary and grammar, following traditional methods.
Many of my students could read English well, but were terrified when speaking because they were afraid they wouldn't be understood.
By understanding the language of my students, I began to understand the pronunciation barriers they were facing.
I can't explain it, but since then I've been able to help millions of Chinese students with their English. I'm so grateful to have this opportunity and I hope my lessons finally give you the confidence and skills you need.
